How do you tint a window?

The film has an adhesive on one side that is protected by a liner. A technician will remove the liner to expose the adhesive. Then they must spray a solution onto the adhesive to activate it. They then carefully place the adhesive on the glass and use a squeegee to take out any bubbles.

Why should I care about UV rays?

Overexposure to UV rays can have long-term effects on health, so this is an important factor in having your windows tinted. All of the window film that our network of technicians use reject UV rays, with the high-performance film offering typically offering advanced UV ray rejection.

Can I apply of fix window film myself?

While the installation of window film can be done by individuals, as with any repairs on a car or home, we strongly recommend hiring a professional just like with any repair/improvement job. Careless installation can result in bubbling, pre-mature fading, and at times irreversible damage to your window.

Does window film reduce the chance of my glass breaking?

Absolutely. While this cannot be guaranteed, window film can certainly help prevent glass splinters in the event of an accident, or at the very least can help to minimize damage.

Why should I trust window film instead of tinted glass?

How can I schedule a residential or commercial appointment?

For all residential and commercial window tinting needs please contact us directly with information about your project and needs. A representative will get back to you with more information, and if possible, a price quote.

How long does it take for the technician to apply the new film?

This depends on a variety of factors that include type of vehicle, type of window film, number of windows, work environment, and whether or not the vehicle has existing film that must be removed. That being said, you should give yourself 2-3 hours for the technician to complete all work.

How long can I expect my tint to last?

The lifespan of the tint depends on a variety of factors. These can include how the film was installed, the weather of the surrounding area, and the quality of the materials used. When scheduling an appointment with Alpha Tinting you’ll receive a 4-year limited warranty or a lifetime limited warranty depending on the package that you choose.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes, we only accept payments with credit cards, debit cards and PayPal accounts. We do this because many technicians do not have the ability to process credit cards on-the-go. We also do this so that customers are able to pre-pay for their appointments and reserve their appointment time days and weeks in advance.

What if I’m not happy with the quality of the work?

In the very rare case that you’re not satisfied with the work performed by your technician on the day of your appointment contact us within 72 hours and tell us about your experience. If there are any lingering craftsmanship issues with your film application we will ensure that a technician returns to you to repair any such issues in a timely manner and at a time that is convenient for you. Alternatively, if you’re not satisfied with the quality of the film application and would prefer to be refunded we will issue customers full or partial refunds on a case-by-case basis. Why pre-pay for my appointment?

Your payment reserves your time slot and ensures that your technician will have all required materials for your appointment. You may submit payment with any major credit card, debit card, or a PayPal account. Don’t worry! In the rare case your technician is not able to make your appointment time we will contact you to re-schedule or we will provide a full refund immediately.

What if my technician doesn’t show up?

In the very rare case that your technician does not show up on the day and time of your appointment you will be contacted by a customer service representative and will be given the option to re-schedule or receive a full refund immediately.

Do you offer warranties?

Yes, our technicians back all of their work with manufacturer and craftsmanship warranties. The standard film package is backed by at least a 4-year limited warranty and the high-performance film package is backed by a lifetime warranty directly from the film manufacturer.

Does my warranty cover craftsmanship issues?

In the very rare case that you’re not satisfied with the craftsmanship of your window film application on the day of your appointment contact us within 72 hours and tell us about your experience. If there are any lingering craftsmanship issues with your film application we will ensure that a technician returns to you to repair any such issues in a timely manner and at a time that is convenient for you. How do warranties work?

Upon completion of your window tinting project your technician will leave warranty documentation with you. We ask customers to please hold on to this warranty information should a problem with the window film arise in the future. While the warranty does not cover craftsmanship issues, it does cover any problems arising from the window film itself or the manufacturer.

Can my warranty be printed?

Yes, your technician will leave you with printed information documenting the warranty of your film. If your technician does not leave warranty information please contact us and we will arrange for this to be sent to you.
